Designed for a high-profile couple, this custom yacht concept reimagines a vessel as a residential sanctuary on the water—an environment so immersive, you forget you’re aboard a ship. Bespoke materials and a signature leather color, developed in collaboration with artisans, evoke simple, elegant luxury while amplifying intimate moments within larger shared spaces. Inspired by the spirit of a jet-setting, style-savvy couple—imagine vintage Chanel luggage and a getaway to St. Barts—the design fuses coastal textures with classic sophistication, creating a seamless blend of home and high seas.
A sweeping marble staircase creates a sense of lightness and openness, bringing a soft glow to the intimate space and expanding its feel. Views are highlighted in the backdrop, while the flooring features a radial cut inspired by conch shells, drawing the eye outward. Textured marble walls nod to the sandy textures of the beach, adding layers of elegance to the space with depth and movement.
Sweeping staircase
Reflecting the ship’s gentle curves, we bring these soft, subtle shapes into the design of the bar, pool, and furnishings. Envisioning scenes of guests gathered—some lounging in the sun, others relaxing by the pool, or shaded beneath the upper deck—we use harmonious tones and textures to create a fluid, multifunctional space.
As day turns to night, the space transforms too: the bar converts into an entertainment hub, seamlessly shifting from sunny lounging to sunset cocktails, then to an indoor cinematic experience with food and drinks.
Open, transitional spaces
Guest suites are crafted to evoke hotel-level luxury, with every detail thoughtfully designed for both safety and the seamless illusion of a residential home on the water. Built-ins, anchored furniture, and wall-mounted lighting add to the sense of refinement. Leather strap detailing and leather-wrapped storage boxes echo the spirit of vintage travel, with accents in a custom leather hue subtly woven throughout the room. Hand-stitched finishes, plush lounging areas, and a balance of soft textures with reflective elements complete the ambiance—capturing the essence of a modern, elegant couple on holiday to St. Barts.
